When life gives you lemons…

…I’d usually say make gin and tonic, but that isn’t really appropriate right now.

I’m yet to see a doctor about pregnancy, and so I’ve been doing a lot of wondering about how things should be feeling. Is this right, is it normal?

I’m about six weeks. I haven’t had any morning sickness or nausea yet (touch wood), but I have been having some kind of pains, similar to period pains in a way, but not quite as severe. I feel like I’ve put on loads of weight in the past few weeks, but thats probably more to do with eating far too much pizza.

I did the home pregnancy test a week ago, and it’s almost like the symptoms switch flicked on. Maybe it’s all in my head? Maybe I thought I should be feeling tired, and that’s why I’ve been passing out straight after dinner.

Apparently at this stage, my womb is roughly the size of a lemon. So now I can’t get the image out of my head that I have a little lemon sitting inside me, and every now and then, baby gives it a squeeze just to remind me he’s there.

I’ll be seeing the doctor in the next few days, and will get more of an idea of what’s going on. But how did you feel at six weeks? Were there any big changes – anything noticeably different?
